Our way to interpret the catering industry it is not reported to thick and monotonous diagrams, where the men a simple list of dishes numbered and codified..
According to we the menu would not have to not even to exist, for the simple motive that all can intuit where come gained some first matters.
To propose always the same dishes means not to keep account of the specific season of the products; has compelled, therefore, to gain them from other markets to superior costs, or to buy the frozen foods.
We are however aware than today the prices of the dishes have proposition a greater weight during the choice of the courses and is for this that we will offer to our hosts a menu that have a honest relation between quality and price, limiting the most possible you feed frozen; wanting to excite the tastes and the traditions of our mediterranean kitchen, that have like alone limit the fantasy of the ours.

Our history
The Locanda Barbarossa opens on October 27th of 2004 after a importing conservative reorganization of a room situated in the heart of the "Romanesque" old city centre of the Town In Como.
The structure is entirely in stone of Moltrasio which makes the room absolutely only one.
With the same stones, recovered by the yard, works which have contributed to the room set and the name choice have been realized.
The embattled massive wall what separates the two internal salette, of different level, and the circular tower, also it embattled, that coats the wood-fired oven, represent clear references at the town fortress strengthened by the emperor Federico II° of Swabia called "Barbarossa" during his coming in Como to support the small town in the war period against Milan.
The only two walls left plastered are served to depict the scene of the note fighting between Milaneses and comaschi, protected to North by the fortress of Barbarossa, known to the mores as "Baradello", and the emperor's effigy; both representations have been realized with the technique of the "graffito", cut on plaster.
The lighting systems and the furnishings have been realize to you in modern style intentionally in order to exalt the differences between old and new.
The inn can receive approximately 70 hosts in the three rooms, knows it "bar", knows it "torre", knows "mura" it.
The holder, Flavio Tortora, it will make to taste the fish specialties you that personally buys cools every day. Also the paste is made rigorously in "casa", and all it comes prepared for the moment of your demand.
